The water flows through two 4 inch filter bags that remove particulate matter as the water passes through the material. Tabs included with the sump allow you to use 7 inch diameter bags with drawstrings, if you prefer. Each Elite sump also features a single perforated platform with a coarse foam block for additional mechanical and biological filtration.
