Parachromis friedrichsthalli, also known as Freddy and the Yellowjacket Cichlid is part of a group from Central and South America known as guapotes. This species is tan to yellow with black speckles and may be easily confused with other guapotes as many are similar in coloration.The Guapotes are predator fish and they are highly aggressive. Freddies can grow to a length of 12 inches and will need ample room as an adult individual. They may not be able to be housed with any other fish except perhaps a single mate. They require excellent water quality and can be fed a varied diet of large pellets, veggie pellets, and other meaty treats.208647
